From original compositions to reinterpretations of classics from Lebanon and the Middle East, Al-Arz is proud to work with, and shine the light on a variety of musicians, music composers, vocalists and chorists from Ottawa who contribute to the dissemination of musical styles that define Lebanon’s rich musical heritage. Through unique music structures, harmony and orchestration, Al-Arz brings people of all cultures together to embrace the lyrical and rhythmical essence of Lebanese music.
Whether it be the traditional forms of the zajal and tarab, we showcase the wealth of classical and contemporary compositions that bring audiences closer to the Middle-East’s ornamented melodies.
